Don’t Be Distracted!
“Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee: For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.” Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 (KJV)
Focusing on what God has called us to do is the only way to get to the finishing line. An athlete that is not focused on the track and the race undertaken will certainly not win (1 Corinthians 9:26–27). In the same way, the Christian life is like a race; if we are focused on our calling, & not allow ourselves to be distracted by others, we will achieve great results. Don’t pay attention to what the enemy is saying through people who have become the devil’s vessels.
Let's identify the works of the enemy, pray against them, and leave the rest to God. Let's concentrate on fulfilling our calling so that, in the end, we can speak boldly like Paul, who said, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7). Halleluyah! We are Overcomers.
Pray: Father of my praise, thank You for counseling me not to be distracted. Holy Spirit, help me never to be distracted. Help me to live by your word so I be focused on the areas of my calling and finish the work You have assigned to me in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
