“Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the Lord thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the Lord.” Jeremiah 3:13 (KJV)

Pride has nothing good to offer a child of God. It makes you feel that you are on top of the world, which only programs you for your downfall. Lucifer was one of the princes of God in heaven, but he filled himself with pride and disobedience, and he lost his place (Isaiah 14:12–16). He has now become the devil, who is responsible for sins and transgressions and all the negative things in society. As a child of God, if you fail to acknowledge your sins after you have committed them, it is a sign of pride.

Beloved, it is the Holy Spirit’s duty to convict you when you sin; therefore, be alert to ask for forgiveness when you are convicted. Those who refuse to acknowledge the conviction of the Holy Spirit when they sin will be judged, and a child of God who lives in sin cannot make progress in life. Don’t take sin for granted; it is the devil’s tool to limit and destroy you. Embrace righteousness to be on the side of God and reign in life (Romans 5:17). Halleluya. 

Pray: My heavenly Father, thank You for counseling me to eschew pride. You resist the proud but You give grace to the humble. I acknowledge my weaknesses and sins and ask for Your forgiveness and help. Thanks so much for forgiving me LORD.
