Being thankful to God is the beginning of living a joyful life. There are many things to be thankful for if only we are alert enough to take note of them (Psalm 34:1). Having a spouse is one of the joyful moments in a person’s life. However, in the process of time, we allow other things to interrupt the relationship we have with our spouse, and the joy is taken away.

Beloved, don’t allow anything to steal the joy in your marriage. Spice up your marriage with the Word of God, prayer, recreational activities, making time to be with each other, and enjoying each other’s company. If you always create an atmosphere of joy in your marriage, you will not think about divorce because there is no guarantee that your second marriage will last (Malachi 2:16). May God give you the insight to enjoy your marriage.

Pray: My heavenly Father, thank You for teaching me how to create joy in my home. Indeed, my spouse and children are a gift from You. Please lead me to apply this teaching to my life and home so that joy will always be in my home & to give support to others in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
