Their witnesses couldn't agree against Jesus because He doesn't just speak for speaking sake. It's either He's preaching the gospel or correcting an error or He's affirming who He is for the purpose of strengthening the faith of the disciples or those around Him. This is what we should be doing also.

When He responded to a question that validates who He is, they said it's blasphemy. This is what the world does to anyone who knows who they are in Christ. We are nothing outside Christ. So if we are asked any time who do you think you are. You can only identify by what God made us through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It's the grace of God. Don't be apologetic or arrogant either about it, that's God's doing. It's better to stand by that truth and if persecution is coming because of it, God will help you than denying what Christ did by accepting lies or deception about who you are not because people will size you up physically to humiliate you. Let's always stand by what God has done for us in Christ. It angers the devil though but it glorifies God.
