DON'T GO BACK TO VOMIT.

DON'T GO BACK TO VOMIT.

I Samuel 28:6-15. This situation that made Saul to seek for the woman or for those with familiar spirit, whom he had banned from operating in Israel, is a very serious one as well as a sad place to find someone in. It's a situation where someone goes back to their vomit. Those things that the person has rejected, he/she went back to accept it. Brethren, it's a very bad place to find oneself in. And worse than going back to one's vomit is the situation where someone cannot hear God's leading again, and there is no peace in the person's heart. It's like death. We read when Samuel mourned for Saul because he didn't carry out God's instructions to utterly destroy the Amalekites. Disobedience is costly. It puts us in a very bad place in our relationship with God, and the person who is walking in disobedience is gradually dying without knowing it. The best thing that can happen to every believer in Christ is to know God's leading at every point in time. And to be able to enjoy this privilege, total obedience to God and His instructions must be a price worth paying. We must convince ourselves that the Spirit of God and the  word of God are worth obeying above our opinions and other people's words.
