SEEK GOD'S DIRECTION.
2 Samuel 2:1. David was a man who walked with God in his days. Right from the time that Samuel anointed him, the Bible says that the Spirit of the Lord came upon him from that day forward (1 Samuel 16:13). And being a man who walked with God he learned to follow His instructions and directions. In this verse one, when David wanted to return to Israel after the death of Saul, he enquired from God about where he should live. Remember he's from the tribe of Judah, yet he didn't assume that is where he should return to, he asked God if he should go to Judah, and God affirmed it. David needed to know the definite place, and God gave him the answer. For us in this Holy Spirit dispensation (after Jesus' resurrection) this is also how the believer should walk with God. If a man under the old covenant maximised being led by God, how much more we who has been washed by the blood of Jesus. We need to always depend on God for direction in all we do. Our success lies in it
Amen
