Being envious of what others have and desiring to get what they have shows how much you are missing in your own life. Sometimes, we tend to compare ourselves with others in terms of looks, wealth, income, property, family situation, children, spouse, and so on. And when we think what they have is better, we lose sight of God’s blessing in our own lives, and then envy and covetousness creep in slowly.

Beloved child of God, you are not like that. You are full of God’s Spirit and produces the fruit of righteousness in all things that you do. The only thing you compare yourself with is the Word of God, which serves as your mirror, and the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the model of Your faith. And you know that all things here on earth are temporary, so you fix your eyes on eternal things. That is why your roots are deep and not superficial in Christ Jesus!

Abba Father, thank You for blessing me with eternal life and the divine relationship through the Lord Jesus Christ. All of my achievements, wealth, and riches here on earth are nothing compared to knowing Christ my Lord. I fix my eyes on You, for You are my greatest treasure.
