This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5:16

It is so easy to walk in the flesh and fulfill the lust of it because that’s how we used to live our lives until Christ Jesus came to redeem us from the lies of the devil and its work. We are now under the care and guidance of the Holy Spirit, so we may produce the righteousness of Christ (Galatians 5:22-23) and be the salt and light of this world (Matthew 5:13-14). And every day, we are faced with deciding to either obey our flesh and its cravings or obey the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Beloved, God wants you to walk in the Spirit daily for your own good. The Bible says that to be carnally minded is death, but a mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace (Romans 8:6). When you walk according to the Spirit, you walk in accordance with God's Word and His perfect will for your life, which fulfills many of His promises and unlocks destiny; not just yours but other people’s as well. Say “Yes!” to the Spirit and “No!” to the flesh today! Thank You, Jesus!

Abba Father, I say “Yes” to Your Holy Spirit. I choose to obey Your Word and resist the devil. By Your grace and strength, I choose to walk in the Spirit, and my mind is governed by Him. And when temptations come my way to be carnally minded, thank You for giving me peace and a sound mind in Jesus’ name. Amen.
